NEW SCHOLARSHIPS POSTED!

 TREA Student Scholarship

TREA was founded in 1992 to improve advocacy for rural schools at the state and federal levels. We are especially focused on legislation that directly affects rural schools. TREA is dedicated to developing leadership qualities in rural educators and to improving teaching and learning in the rural schools of Texas. The TREA student scholarships are for any graduating senior who will attend a post graduate program, technical school, or is enlisting in the military the following school year.  The TREA Student Scholarships are awarded annually to 20-30 graduating high school seniors. In 2022, 269 completed scholarship applications were reviewed for consideration. The judges selected 28 recipients. The winners were celebrated at the Scholarship Banquet during the TREA Summer Conference as one of the highlights of the Conference. You can find the application and FAQ here

Texas Builders Foundation

Each year, the Foundation awards scholarships to students who are enrolled in construction programs in Texas’ technical and trade schools and colleges and universities. Scholarships are awarded in the spring for the upcoming fall semester.

The scholarship application period for the fall 2023 semester is now open. The scholarship application due date is April 21, 2023.

Applicants must have been accepted or are enrolled for the upcoming fall semester as a student in a Texas technical or trade school or community college or university and must be pursuing a residential construction related trade certification or residential construction degree. The applicant must demonstrate an interest in obtaining employment in the homebuilding industry upon graduation.

The focus of the Texas Builders Foundation is to help ensure the future of the residential building industry in Texas. Young adults graduating from career and technical programs and our colleges and universities are the future business owners of Texas who in turn hire employees and pay taxes. Currently, the homebuilding industry in Texas represents over 723,058 jobs and more than $67.5 billion annually in the Texas economy. As the state’s population continues to grow and the demand for housing continues to rise, these numbers will increase exponentially, as will the need for construction professionals. Since its inception in 2010, the Foundation has awarded thousands of dollars in student scholarships. Read here about our scholarship recipients.

The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International

ΔΚΓ is an international society for women educators.
Since one of our society’s purposes is to advance the professional interest and position of
women in education, we want to help young ladies enter our profession; thus, the two
requirements that must be met to be considered for this grant are that you must desire to enter
the teaching profession and be female.

The application for this scholarship can be found in the counselor’s office.
